Santa Paula Festival Team
We're a small group of locals who fell in love with this town and couldn't stop writing about it. Some of us grew up picking lemons off Limoneira trees. Others moved here from LA and never looked back. One of us hiked to the Punch Bowls 37 times last year alone.
We write about what we know firsthand — the trails we've hiked, the restaurants where we eat on our days off, the festivals where our kids get cotton candy on their faces. We don't do sponsored reviews or paid placements. If we recommend something, it's because we've actually been there.
This site started as a simple festival info page and grew into a full guide to Santa Paula. We cover:
- Events & festivals — the Citrus Festival, Ventura County fairs, and seasonal celebrations
- Outdoor recreation — Punch Bowls, airport fly-ins, Limoneira tours, canyon hikes
- Local dining — from Main Street taquerias to the airport breakfast counter
- History & culture — the St Francis Dam, oil history, citrus heritage, and the Kiwanis legacy
- Day trip planning — for visitors coming from LA and beyond
Our Standards
Every article on this site is written from personal experience. We visit the places we write about — usually multiple times. We check hours, prices, and trail conditions before publishing, and we update our guides regularly when things change.
We fact-check against official sources: the City of Santa Paula, museum websites, the National Forest Service, and Ventura County Parks. When we quote a price or an opening time, it came from the source — not a third-party aggregator.
